Mid-century Florentine jewelry box

A charming mid-century Florentine jewelry box hand-decorated in soft pink and pale green with gilt decoration. Made of lightweight wood and gesso, even the underside is fully gilded and decorated with a scalloped pattern. Inside, it’s gilded and lined in deep green flock. A lovely way to store jewelry or decorate a coffee table. 

Found in Toscana.

Condition: Good. This jewelry box is in good vintage condition with some gentle patina and wear and small losses to the gilding, where the underlying white gesso peeks through. The inside is made of green flocking or a felt-like material consistent with its age, which is clean and odorless. There's a drop of dry paint or similar on the flocking (see last image). The hinges work well.

2. Local delivery in Helsinki capital area

Barlume delivery is available in the Helsinki capital area for all orders of 150€ and above. The service costs €25 and can be selected at checkout.

We deliver straight to the ground floor door, unless pre-agreed otherwise. We will contact you in advance to agree a suitable delivery date and time (Weekend and evening slots are also possible).

3. Pick-up from our warehouse in Espoo

You can skip the shipping fees with free pick-up from the Barlume Warehouse in Espoo (Address: Finnoonniitynkuja 4, 02270 Espoo).
