A first-generation example of a bar classic. Designed in 1957 by Luigi Massoni and Carlo Mazzeri, the 871 was among the first Alessi pieces by outside designers. This one is made in satinized stainless steel and bears the original Alfra (ALessi FRAtelli) Alessi stamp, which dates it to the earliest production years, c. late 1950s–60s, before the brand became simply “Alessi”. It includes its original inner grid and later Alessi-stamped tongs to complete the set. A lovely gift idea!
Found in Toscana.
Condition: Excellent. This ice bucket is in excellent vintage condition with minimal wear consistent with its age and use. Marked 'Alfra Alessi, 18/10 stainless steel, Italy, Mod. Dep.' on the bottom. There are no dents or deep scratches. Some movement marks on the bottom.
Dimensions: H 12cm x Ø 12.5cm.
