Vintage Empoli green glass vase

An unusual decorative 1960s-1970s green glass vase with spikey seed pod design, from the region of Empoli in Italy. Known as Empoli Verde, this green colour is a result of the content of local sand used for glass production. Completely hand-blown glass.

Found in San Vincenzo, Tuscany.

Condition: Excellent. No chips or fractures in the glass. Only a natural bubble (see image).
